STORM has developed new training software in accordance with Chapter VI of STCW Code requirements.
“AFS” Advanced Fire Fighting Simulator is intended for training officers in advanced fire fighting in accordance with Section A-VI/3 of STCW Code requirements, competence in fire-fighting operations aboard ships control, organization and training of fire parties, the following sections:
- Organization and control of fire-fighting operations;
- Strategies and tactics for control of fires in various parts of the ship;
- Communication and coordination during fire-fighting operations;
- Control of ventilation, fuel and electrical systems.
“Launched lifeboat”, “Free-Fall lifeboat”, “Launched liferaft”, “Dropped liferaft”, “Rescue boat” and “Fast rescue boat” Multimedia training software (MTS) are developed for training:
- seafarers designated to take charge of survival craft and rescue boats in conformity with Table A-VI/2-1 of STCW Code;
- seafarers designated to take charge of fast rescue boats in conformity with Table A-VI/2-2 of STCW Code;
- crew members in accordance with Table A-VI/1-1 “Specification of minimum standard of competence in personal survival techniques” of STCW Code.
