In the network class of Baltic Higher Naval Institute named after Admiral F.F.Ushakov “Ship Handling” CBT Library has been installed.

Each CBT is an electronic textbook on one or more topics of special disciplines. Theoretical materials in CBT are accompanied with drawings, diagrams, photos, animations and video clips.  The textbook include a section for knowledge evaluation. Electronic pages of the textbook can be used as multimedia posters with the help of the demonstration equipment.

CBT Library includes the following CBT:

1. “Manoeuvring”
2. “Anchoring”
3. “Mooring”
4. “Ship handling in heavy weather”
5. “Manoeuvring in shallow and narrow water” 
6. “Ice navigation” 
7. “Refloating a grounded ship”
8. “Towing operations”
9. “Cargo handling and stowage”
10. “Tanker operations”
11. ”Marine communication and alarm systems” 
12. “Safety and emergency procedures”
13. “Ship handling during search and rescue operations”
14. “Use of AIS” 

Baltic Higher Naval Institute named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov is a branch of Military Educational-and-Research Centre Naval Academy named after “Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov”. The Institute trains officers and warrant officers for the Navy and force structures of Russian on the four faculties.
