Conference was held in Saint Petersburg on December 15-16, 2011 powered by State Duma, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation. More than 350 delegates from 42 Russian regions have taken part in the affair.

The program of the conference was developed together with the leading institutions of the transport field such as: Makarov State Maritime Academy, Saint-Petersburg State University for Water Communications, Petersburg State Transport University, Northern (Arctic) Federal University as well as other specialized ministries and departments.

The main issue of the conference was devoted to policy in modernization of training personnel reserve for the transportation industry, integration of the Russian Federation into international educational community, solution of a qualified staff shortage problem.

Members of the affair in the free conversation mode discussed actual questions of the transport field staffing.

During work of “Session of sea and river transport” devoted to innovations implementation in training process of staff  in the sphere of sea transport STORM Ltd. Director for development and innovation Gennadiy Suyts has made a report on the topic “Use of innovative “STORM-M” Technology for comprehensive training of water transport specialists. Possibility of its application in other transport field scopes of activity”.
