STORM Ltd. group of experts in November, 2011 has provided consultation works for Water Transport Training Center concerning training, knowledge evaluation and certification founded in Yakutsk.
Content of works was:
- analysis of the available material and technical, educational and methodological provision, development of offers in modernization and further equipping to achieve the aims of comprehensive training of specialists in accordance with the new STCW Convention Amendment and national requirements.
- analysis of the simulator equipment manufacturers and software developers market, making optimal offers on correlation of price/quality in equipment of newly established training centers to achieve the aim of comprehensive specialists training in accordance with the new STCW Convention Amendment and national requirements.
“Water Transport Training Center” plans to become the main provider of work forces for the largest shipping company of the region - "Joint Stock Lena United River Shipping Company". On the balance of the shipping company there are more than 350 cargo, tug, passenger and support vessels 450 000 ton dwt. Lena United River Shipping Company carries out bulk transportation of oil products and dry cargo in the basin of Lena river and its feeders Vitim, Olekma, Aldan and Vilyui. Mixed river-sea-going ships work on the Northern Sea Route from port Khatanga to Pevek port, with entering rivers Anabar, Olenek, Yana, Indigirka, Kolyma. Some vessels work in Pacific Ocean basin, Black and Mediterranean Sea.
