Knowledge assessment of persons responsible for the safety of navigation is carried in accordance with national requirements concerning knowledge assessment of Executive Heads and specialists of organizations transporting freight and passengers.

The main objectives of the attestation are:

• Knowledge evaluation of normative legal acts and other documents, regulating the security of navigation. Proficiency of implementing them in operation,
• Formation of high-skilled staff of executive directors and specialists providing secure operation of transport means.

Shipowners and persons responsible for safety of navigation spend much time and money for business trips related to training and knowledge assessment. As a cost-saving measure our company developed:

• Learning management system (LMS) allows training persons responsible for the safety of navigation in distance form,
• System of distance qualifying examinations (SDQE) allows the possibility of final knowledge evaluation in the nearest regional educational centers,
• Training, technical advisory and organizational methodological support knowledge assessment of persons responsible for the safety of navigation is carried in accordance with certificate of audit of Federal Service for the Oversight of Transport dated 2008 December, 12.

With the help of computers and distant services candidates, persons registered in SDTS have an opportunity of:

Candidates passed through examinations in the system of distance training of persons responsible for the safety of navigation are led to final computer-based knowledge evaluation without necessity of doing it in Federal Service for the Oversight of Transport.

4. Distance knowledge evaluation

Pass the final knowledge evaluation in regional authorized educational center without necessity of doing it in Federal Service for the Oversight of Transport.
